resources for student-group Trips

In recent years, class trips to Walt Disney World have become increasingly complicated for both students and chaperones.

From new app systems and Lightning Lane rules to tech setups for minors and student security issues, these trips aren't  the same trip it was even a few years ago. And while group travel companies are invaluable for their ability to book group flights, hotel blocks, ground transfers, and admission tickets, most fail to adequately support chaperones and students when it comes to the most important aspect of the trip: understanding Disney's systems and educating students so they can maximize their vacation investments.

As a high school teacher and a travel advisor who specializes in Disney Destinations, I have a unique intersection of expertise--and I've built a system that fills in those gaps.

​

For students and parents:

• a private Facebook group specifically for parents who are sending their kids on a class, marching band, cheer, or theater trip to Walt Disney World. This is a space for families to ask questions, get tips, and find resources.

• A 46-page Walt Disney World Class Trip Student/Parent Handbook that has info on My Disney Experience setup, dining options, Lightning Lanes, health and safety, touring the parks, transportation, packing, TSA/airport guidance, security, PhotoPass and Memory Maker, spending and budgeting, and more. 

• The Handbook also has embedded links to packing and roommate-coordination spreadsheets, mobile My Lightning Lanes instructional videos, and other relevant resources.

For chaperones:

• a private Facebook group specifically for senior class advisors, marching band/choir directors, coaches, and other adults who coordinate student-group trips to Walt Disney World (and Universal Orlando). 

• A Chaperone Handbook that provides you with everything you need to know in order to run a successful trip

• Access to my Chaperone Resources Google Drive folder, which has parent/student email templates, a student Walt Disney World trip handbook, medical info, a document specific to students with special needs, student packing and My Disney Experience coordination workbook spreadsheets, My Disney Experience setup and linking instructions, dining information, Lightning Lane instructions and info, and more.
